For almost 30 years, Qiagen DNA Synthesising AB (formerly SGS DNA AB) in Sweden has manufactured superior synthetic DNA for use in diagnostic procedures. We employ about 100 people and are based in Västerås. We adhere to ISO13485 (EU) along with 21CFR820 (USA) medical device directives. Our manufacturing process complies with GMP.

Position Description:
Teams of capable and driven laboratory engineers and assistants are employed by our manufacturing department in Västerås, which is organised into four departments. To become part of our QC department, we are now seeking motivated Laboratory Engineers. Fitting in as an inexperienced worker is made easy by the team's high level of expertise and camaraderie.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quality control (QC) examination of oligonucleotide products with UPLC, HPLC, and mass spectrometry (MS).
Verify that laboratory activities and related documents adhere to GMP. Assign a specific region to your team to carry out LEAN improvements.
Encourage studies aimed at validating and improving methods for mass spectrometry equipment.
As needed, assist and mentor other team members.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of fundamental masses spectrometry (MS) and purification methods, including UPLC and HPLC.
Shown a great desire to learn and grow, as well as a dedication to lifelong learning.
Proficient in both written and spoken Swedish and English.
A college degree with a concentration in microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field.
Experience working as a laboratory technician or a comparable position would be beneficial, as would familiarity with GMP and LEAN. demonstrated capacity to operate safely from the perspective of chemical handling as well as product quality.
The capacity to work efficiently and adaptably while handling repetitious jobs and high workloads on occasion.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a cheerful attitude on life make this person a true team player.
